Job summary

CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Combo Tech I to support preventive maintenance, repair services and parts for commercial kitchen equipment across multiple restaurant locations in the Los Angeles area.

The role performs minor carpentry and maintenance of architectural structures, reads blueprints, and responds to service orders with safety in mind. On-call availability nights/weekends/holidays is required, with travel between sites as needed.

Qualifications

HVAC/R, electrical, and facilities maintenance experience required (6 months–3 years).
College courses in air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical or electronics preferred.
EPA Freon handling Type II or above certification.
Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required.
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and equipment specifications.
On-call availability approx one week per month (nights, weekends, holidays).
Experience with Hazmat handling.
Ability to plan and prioritize tasks in a self-directed environment.

Responsibilities

Schedules repairs and follows preventive maintenance on restaurant equipment, refrigeration equipment, POS, and building systems.
Provides remote troubleshooting to resolve minor equipment issues.
Performs minor repairs to the facility (carpentry, walls, tile, doors, painting) with minimal supervision.
Operates standard maintenance tools safely (power tools, basic hand tools, electrical testing equipment).
Detects, repairs, documents activity, and reports faulty equipment.
Responds to service order requests promptly and completes work orders and invoicing.
