Job summary

CommonSpirit Health at Home is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (PRN) to consult with physicians and homecare teams, delivering attentive, professional service and ensuring safe operation of respiratory equipment. You will educate patients, perform focused assessments and functional tests, collaborate on care plans, and document in the homecare EMR.

Requirements include an associate degree in respiratory therapy, CRTT or RRT, CPR, and 5 years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy from a CoARC-approved program.
• CRTT or RRT credential required; CPR certification current.
• Five years RT experience preferred; ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; patient education focus.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients with respiratory conditions using teach-back to ensure proper use of equipment.
• Maintains or exceeds clinical competencies and collaborates with homecare team.
• Develops and modifies patient care plans with physicians; provides support to patients and caregivers.
• Performs focused exams and functional tests related to respiratory conditions.
• Reports changes to the attending physician and coordinates services with other disciplines.
• Documents in the homecare EMR; handles paperwork per procedures.
• Raises customer-related concerns with supervision and participates in routine meetings.
• Delivers quality, compassionate, professional care to achieve positive outcomes.
