Qualifications

• Current license in state of service.
• Associate Degree from a RespiratoryTherapy program approved by CoARC.
• CRTT or RRT required; RRT preferred.
• Five years Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Ability to work independently, be detail oriented, and have excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients with respiratory conditions focusing on adaptive living and teaches proper use of equipment.
• Maintains or exceeds clinical competencies.
• Collaborates with homecare team and physician to develop and modify patient care plans.
• Evaluates patients with focused exams and functional tests related to respiratory condition.
• Reports changes in patient condition and coordinates services with other disciplines.
• Documents in the EMR and processes paperwork per procedures.
• Reports concerns to supervision and attends routine meetings.
• Provides compassionate, professional, and ethical care to achieve satisfaction and positive outcomes.
