Job summary

MRK is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Willows at Pleasantville, a 128-unit community in Pleasantville, NJ. The role involves repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance across assigned properties to keep grounds and buildings in top condition.

Responsibilities include maintaining mechanical and plumbing systems, restoring vacated apartments, snow removal, and meeting janitorial schedules. On-call availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years maintenance or construction experience.
• One year of experience as a full-charge residential maintenance technician is preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations preferred.
• EPA certification preferred.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Must be able to work a flex schedule and be on-call for emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Requires the ability to read, speak and comprehend the English language.
• Proficiency in performing plumbing, electric and machinery repair.
• Ability to follow direction and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, troubleshoots mechanical systems, and completes preventative maintenance.
• Restores vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents.
• Removes snow, ice and debris from sidewalks, walkways, steps and driveways/parking spaces.
• Completes janitorial requirements per schedule.
• Responds to on-call emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays—resolving issues.
• Patrols property daily to identify cleaning needs and maintain grounds and common areas.

Education
