Job summary

The Springs Living in Eugene, OR invites applications for an On-Call Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated in-house therapy team. This role focuses on high-quality, person-centered care for adults with diverse diagnoses, emphasizing aging in place and mobility improvement.

You will work under a licensed PT to implement tailored interventions and monitor progress. As part of a collaborative care team, you will document outcomes, support treatment planning, and educate residents

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited therapy program - PTA.
• Current state licensure required.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial screenings for new residents and referrals to determine therapy needs.
• Assist in evaluation and data collection to support treatment planning under a licensed PT.
• Communicate evaluation findings with residents, families, and the team.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions aligned with goal plans and professional standards.
• Monitor and document treatment times, progress, and outcomes per regulations.
• Adjust treatment plans based on resident response and physician guidance.
• Support reimbursement processes by understanding basic insurance and billing practices.
• Educate residents and families on adaptive equipment and devices.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain safety protocols including infection control and OSHA standards.
