Job summary

Wilhoit Properties, Inc. is actively seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to uphold the upkeep and safety of our apartment communities.

You will help ensure a clean, comfortable environment for residents and guests while performing a range of routine maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include completing apartment make-ready work (painting, appliance service, plumbing and electrical fixes), inspections of facilities, inventory management for tools and supplies, lawn care, and handling

Qualifications

Experience in property maintenance is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge.
Electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills essential for working on various projects.

Responsibilities

Maintain the physical appearance and integrity of the apartment community.
Ensure clean and comfortable living environment for residents and visitors.
Completes apartment make-ready procedures such as painting; servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures; repairing old and faulty parts; replacing burnt-out light bulbs; checking/changing locks; and cleaning.
Makes regular inspections of grounds, buildings, lighting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment and performing repairs as necessary with the approval of the Property Manager.
Responsible for maintaining an organized maintenance shop and keeping inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
Maintain apartment community curb appeal by performing necessary lawncare.
Takes after-hours emergency calls, as assigned
