Job summary

LeFrak in Miami is seeking a capable maintenance worker to support the superintendent in preserving the property's physical integrity and ensuring a safe, comfortable living environment for residents and staff. You will perform a range of trades as needed and coordinate with vendors as required.

This role requires hands-on skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, painting, and appliance maintenance, plus reliability for on-call emergencies nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED; English literacy required.
• Experience: 3 years in general building maintenance.
• Proficient knowledge of carpentry, building maintenance, safe operation of basic hand and power tools, oil burner systems, heating and ventilation systems, electrical systems, appliance maintenance.
• Safety-conscious and able to operate basic safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing repair, replacement, or installation.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues and lighting.
• Drywall/Plaster patching and painting touch-ups.
• Repair appliances and service major household equipment.
• Conduct general carpentry and maintenance tasks.
• Keep common areas clean and maintain grounds upkeep.
• Provide professional customer service to residents.
• Document all work, purchases, and incidents.
• On-call for emergencies as needed.
• Maintain inventory levels of spare parts and supplies.
• Inspect and maintain boilers, pumps, and mechanical systems.
