Job summary

Meals on Wheels People is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Meals 4 Kids team as an On Call Program Assistant in Portland, OR. This on-call role involves assisting with meal preparation, packaging, delivery, and volunteer coordination in a supportive nonprofit environment.

The ideal candidate should be dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks, with a willingness to work evenings or weekends for special events.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain within two weeks.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, packaging and delivery.
• Train and schedule volunteers; maintain accurate records.
• Complete administrative tasks as assigned.

Skills

Bilingual English/Spanish

Multilingual (Vietnamese, Russian, etc

Education
