Northrop Grumman is seeking a Power Design Engineer to lead full lifecycle development for architectures including high-efficiency power supplies and EMI/EMC compliance.

Responsibilities include concept-to-production design, testing, and integration across RF/EO/DSP platforms, with DoD standards guiding all work. Collaboration with system and hardware teams is essential for successful implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering with 14–16 years of power electronics design experience or 14 years with a master's.
• Switch Mode Power Supply design experience from schematic through test and integration.
• Hands-on prototyping and debug of complex power systems.
• Ability to translate system performance/specs into hardware requirements and test specs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects with 2+ team members.
• Familiarity with DOORS, ClearCase and ClearQuest.

Responsabilités

• Develop power conversion architectures for RF/EO/DSP applications.
• Collaborate with system, sub-system, and hardware engineers from requirements to production.
• Verify designs through spice simulations and laboratory tests; maintain documentation across lifecycle.
• Ensure regulatory and MIL-STD/E3 compliance for DoD programs.
• Provide mentorship and leadership within engineering teams.
