Job summary

The University of New Mexico SHAC clinic is seeking an on-call Pharmacy Tech to support daily operations in the campus pharmacy, handling dispensing support and direct customer service. The role may involve after-hours coverage on an on-call basis.

Responsibilities include assisting in dispensing, processing routine non-prescription orders, and coordinating billing, cash handling, and inventory management to ensure accurate, compliant pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.
• Must maintain certification status.
• Flu vaccination requirement for employees in patient care or clinical areas.
• Completed degrees above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Retail Pharmacy Experience

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative assistance in the day-to-day activities of a designated pharmacy operation.
• Assist in the dispensing of prescription pharmaceuticals and fill routine orders for non-prescription pharmaceuticals.
• Coordinate billing, cash management, and fiscal tracking operations; oversee inventory and data management to support pharmacy operations.
