Job description

ON CALL Pharmacist

A pharmacist who provides pharmacy services to patients/medical practitioners at the Student Health & Counseling Center (SHAC) Pharmacy. Duties include receiving, compounding, filling prescriptions, dispensing medications, consulting with patients, training or supervising personnel, performing routine quality control testing, and maintaining records per regulations.

Conditions of Employment

• May require discipline-specific licensure and/or professional certification.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• May be subject to credentialing process; must maintain credentialed status, if applicable.
• Must maintain certification status.
• Employees in patient care or clinical areas must comply with the University’s influenza vaccination requirement.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.; at least six months of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• State of New Mexico Licensed Pharmacist.
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-to-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications are preferred but not required.
