Job summary

Sunoco LP in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a Terminal Operator to manage receiving, storing, transferring, and loading refined petroleum products in a reliable, compliant manner.

Under supervision, you will gauge storage tanks, input inventories, perform reconciliations, maintain facilities, and perform safety checks. Excellent communication, math skills, and a valid driver's license are required; travel to other terminals may be requested.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate clearly with peers and management.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Gauge storage tanks and take meter readings daily.
• Provide top-tier customer service to commercial and operations representatives.
• Calculate and input inventories and meter readings into systems.
• Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of inventories and thru-puts.
• Perform facility maintenance on office buildings, assets, and vegetation.
• Safely load petroleum products onto trucks and receive products from pipelines.
• Travel to various facilities to assist terminals across the organization.
• Take product samples and perform quality control tests.
• Perform and log scheduled maintenance and inspections.
• Ensure terminal equipment functions and report failures.
• Conduct daily walk-around inspections for risks and housekeeping.
• Issue work permits for contractors, ensuring safety meetings and lockout/tag-out requirements.
• Correct unsafe acts or conditions per company policies.
• Remain knowledgeable of Emergency Response procedures.
• Communicate outages and downtime promptly to supervisor and customers.
