Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years experience in building repairs and maintenance preferred.
• General knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work outdoors in all weather.
• Willing and able to work occasional on-call shifts.
• Must be a team player with strong work ethic and reliable.
• Requires a driver’s license in-state.
• EPA 608 certification preferred.
• Trades certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance and repair work on facilities and equipment.
• Responds to service requests across electrical, furnaces, lighting, HVAC systems, appliances, water heaters, disposals, plumbing & fixtures, carpentry, painting, roofing, and other maintenance items.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines operate smoothly and building conditions remain sound.
• Adheres to preventive maintenance programs for heating and ventilation systems and performs required maintenance including filter replacement.
• Assists in emergency maintenance such as sewage back-ups, water main breaks, fires, and leaks.
• Assembles, installs and repairs wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
• Reads blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs to determine work required.
• Maintains equipment and inventory; operates trade-related tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintains safe workplace and follows established safety procedures per OSHA and company standards.
• Trains junior technicians and provides mentorship and on-the-job guidance.
• Uses CMMS to log work orders; maintains accurate records.
