Job summary

The Franklin Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Carrington Place in Columbia, SC. You will maintain buildings and grounds, diagnose problems, and perform repairs across HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and carpentry to keep the property in optimal condition.

Responsibilities include responding to resident work orders, performing routine duties for occupied and vacant units, and maintaining safety and inventory of equipment. On-call availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1–3 years related experience preferred.
• HVAC certification is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain property buildings and grounds; diagnose problems and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, and related systems.
• Respond promptly to resident work orders and communicate status to management.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on vacant units prior to occupancy.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment; ensure safe handling and storage.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
• Be available to work on an on-call basis.
