On-Call Mobile Crisis Responder – Mental Health Support

Job summary

Elevate is recruiting Mobile Response Team members to be on call and respond to mental health crises in the community, often in pairs or with law enforcement. You will join a dedicated team, complete data entry, and coordinate responses to ensure timely client support.

Shifts run 7:00am–7:00pm, with 20–29 hours per week. A range of educational paths qualifies you, from crisis professionals to EMTs, nurses, and trained peers. Competitive hourly pay and a supportive work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Crisis Intervention with experience in suicide intervention, and postvention.
• Must be available from 7am-7pm.
• Current valid Drivers License.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Experience assisting people with addiction, relationship difficulties, depression, stress, extreme poverty, mental illness, parenting etc.

Responsibilities

• Function as an effective team member and represent Elevate in a professional manner, complete related data entry, paperwork, and notify Elevate after call is completed
• Be accessible by telephone and prepared to respond to calls during all scheduled shifts, arrive at any client location within one hour of being called, coordinating arrival with co-worker in any situation requiring a two-person response and develop and maintain working relationships with other mental health practitioners, case managers, law enforcement officers, school personnel, hospital personnel, and other interested parties

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field + 1 year experience

Law enforcement officer (2 years)

EMT (2 years)

Peer support specialist (1 year)

Registered nurse (1 year in behavioral/mental health)

Bachelor’s degree in non-human services with 2 years in behavioral health + 30 hours training
