Job summary

Elevate is seeking Mobile Crisis Response Team Members to provide on-call support for mental health crises in the community. You will respond in pairs or with law enforcement, complete required paperwork, and maintain communication with partners across health and emergency services.

Shifts run 7:00am–7:00pm, roughly 20–29 hours per week. Must meet at least one eligible qualification and possess a valid driver's license. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Crisis Intervention experience, including suicide/postvention
• Available for 7am–7pm shifts
• Current valid driver's license
• Knowledge of community resources
• Experience helping people with addiction, depression, stress, poverty, mental illness, parenting

Responsibilities

• Respond to mental health crises in the community, often paired or with law enforcement
• Complete related data entry and paperwork; notify Elevate after each call
• Be accessible by telephone and respond to calls during scheduled shifts; arrive within one hour with a co-worker when two-person response is needed

Bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in human services

Mental health professional as defined in Iowa Code 228.1

Law enforcement officer with 2+ years experience

EMT with 2+ years experience

Registered nurse with 1+ year in behavioral health

High school diploma with 2+ years in behavioral health + 30 hours crisis training
