Job summary

RestoreCore is seeking a Mitigation Technician to restore properties affected by fire, water, and other emergencies. You will perform mitigation and restoration tasks, collaborate with customers, and support the Emergency Services Project Manager.

Responsibilities include emergency response, property damage assessment, water extraction, drying, mold and antimicrobial treatments, documenting progress, maintaining equipment, and adhering to OSHA safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in the restoration industry preferred.
• IICRC certification in water, fire, and mold restoration is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of construction and repair techniques.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work on-call for emergency services.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and assess damage.
• Perform mitigation and restoration tasks including water extraction, drying, and mold remediation.
• Document damage with photos, diagrams, and written notes for records.
• Explain the mitigation and restoration process to customers and answer questions.
• Maintain records of projects, time logs, and expenses; report progress to the manager.
• Maintain and care for restoration equipment; report malfunctions.
• Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and participate in safety trainings.
