Job summary

RestoreCore is seeking a Mitigation Technician in Maryland to respond to emergencies, assess damage, and perform restoration tasks. You will manage water extraction, drying, and fire damage mitigation while maintaining clear customer communication and documentation.

Availability for on-call work and adherence to safety standards are required. The role involves working indoors and outdoors, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years in restoration preferred.
• IICRC certification in water, fire, and mold restoration is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of construction and repair techniques.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work on-call for emergency services.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls promptly.
• Evaluate damage severity and determine resources and equipment.
• Conduct damage assessments and document findings with photos and notes.
• Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification.
• Mitigate fire damage including soot and smoke removal.
• Apply anti-microbial treatments.
• Communicate mitigation and restoration steps to customers.
• Maintain records of projects and progress.
