Job summary

RestoreCore, Inc. is seeking a Mitigation Technician in Edison, NJ to restore properties after fire, water, and other emergencies. You will manage mitigation and restoration tasks, coordinate with clients, and support Emergency Services.

You'll perform water extraction, drying, soot removal, document progress, and maintain equipment, while following OSHA safety guidelines and company processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in the restoration industry preferred.
• IICRC certification in water, fire, and mold restoration is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work on-call for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency calls and evaluate damage.
• Damage Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments and document damage.
• Mitigation Services: Perform water extraction, drying, soot removal, and microbial treatments.
• Customer Communication: Explain mitigation/restoration processes and address inquiries.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records and report progress to the Emergency Services Project Manager.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance of restoration equipment and report malfunctions.
• Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA safety guidelines and participate in safety training.

The Role:

As a Mitigation Technician, you will play a crucial role in restoring properties affected by fire, water, and other emergencies. Your responsibilities will include handling the mitigation and restoration process, making a significant impact on the lives of our clients during challenging times.

Responsibilities:

Emergency Response:

• Respond promptly to emergency calls.
• Evaluate the severity of damage and determine the necessary resources and equipment.

Damage Assessment:

• Conduct thorough assessments of damaged properties, noting structural and content impact.
• Document damage through photos, diagrams, and written descriptions.

Mitigation Services:

• Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification services following industry standards.
• Execute fire damage mitigation, including soot and smoke removal.
• Apply anti-microbial treatments.

Customer Communication:

• Communicate effectively with customers, explaining the mitigation and restoration process.
• Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly and professionally.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of all restoration projects, including time logs, expense reports, and customer communication.
• Report project progress to Emergency Services Project Manager.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Ensure proper maintenance and handling of restoration equipment and tools.
• Report any equipment malfunction or need for repairs to the supervisor.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all company and OSHA safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in safety training sessions and stay updated on industry safety standards.

Qualifications:
