Job summary

Oakmont of Fullerton is seeking a Medication Technician on-call to supervise and assist with medication administration for residents in a premier senior living community. The role involves direct personal care, encouraging resident participation in activities, and coordinating with housekeepers and maintenance staff.

Qualifications include at least 18 years old, a high school diploma (LVN a plus), and the ability to operate MS Office.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completion of state-required medication training/certification may be required.
• One year of experience in assisting with medication at a RCFE preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must be able to operate MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with residents, families, and staff.
• Criminal background check and health screening tests required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with co-workers and other departments.
