Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in Port Townsend, WA, is seeking Medication Technicians (Med Tech - CNA/HCA) to provide compassionate, direct care and administer medications in accordance with individualized plans.

The role requires CNAs or HCAs with First Aid/CPR, diabetes and nurse delegation credentials or willingness to obtain them. Weekend rotation and a supportive, respectful team environment are part of the job.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid state CNA or HCA license per state regulations.
• Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.
• Nurse Delegation and Diabetes Specialty Certificates or willingness to obtain within a prescribed period.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily administration of prescribed medication as per care plan.
• Follow documentation protocols and report changes in resident status.
• Assist in managing medication inventory and coordinate re-orders with pharmacies.
• Provide compassionate care and support with activities of daily living in a team setting.
• Promote independence and engage residents with life enrichment activities.
• Encourage communication among healthcare professionals, residents, families and staff.
