Thompson Thrift in St. Augustine, Florida is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance for a multifamily community.

You will work under the Maintenance Manager and Community Manager to complete service requests, preventative maintenance, and repairs, ensuring safety and quality for residents. The role emphasizes on-call availability, collaboration with on-site teams, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in property maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for on-call emergencies.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements including frequent lifting of 50–80 lbs and occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests in a timely manner, prioritizing urgent issues and ensuring quality resolution.
• Diagnose and repair maintenance issues, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general carpentry.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and support scheduled inspections of building systems and equipment.
• Assist with apartment make-readies and unit turnovers to support occupancy and readiness goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and communicate updates to leadership.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards.
• Follow all safety guidelines, including OSHA and company policies.
• Assist with vendor coordination and notify leadership when additional support is needed.
• Participate in emergency response efforts and on-call rotations as required.
• Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and team members to support a positive experience.
