ParkVista Apartments is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Technician to maintain the building and grounds through routine tasks and special work orders. The role involves making-ready units, diagnosing basic HVAC and plumbing issues, and keeping safety standards for pool equipment.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, responding to emergencies on a rotating on-call schedule, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure smooth property operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and carry at least 20 lbs.
• HVAC (A/C) certification required.
• Pool certification preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, furnaces, and plumbing.
• Experience with apartment maintenance, make-ready processes, and work order systems.
• Willingness to work on-call as needed (rotating schedule).
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.
• Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
• Full-time with rotating on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform apartment make-ready tasks, including repairs and unit preparation.
• Diagnose and repair basic HVAC systems, furnaces, and air conditioning units.
• Identify and fix plumbing issues such as leaks and minor pipe repairs.
• Maintain pool equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist with general property upkeep, including preventative maintenance.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as part of an on-call rotation.
• This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, proactive, and capable of handling a variety of maintenance tasks to keep the property running smoothly.
