Job summary

The General Maintenance Technician role at Tigua Inc. in El Centro, CA involves performing maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities located at multiple land port of entry sites. The candidate must pass government background checks and drug screening.

You will respond to Priority 1/2/3 work orders, work overtime and travel as required, and maintain records in Maximo while ensuring safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred.
• 2–3 years’ experience in basic electrical, mechanical, and computer technology.
• HSPD-12 clearance or ability to obtain; background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building components.
• Respond to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues to ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct monthly preventive maintenance and inspections to identify problems and mitigate risks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff and contractors to complete projects.
• Provide emergency response and repairs to minimize downtime.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment required for maintenance tasks.
• Assist in implementing maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Respond to Priority 1 work orders immediately; provide status updates for Maximo.
• Respond to Priority 2 work orders within 30 minutes and be on site within 1 hour plus travel.
• Respond to Priority 3 work orders within 30 days.
