Job summary

ASL in Hemet is seeking a qualified janitor/cleaner to maintain a high level of cleanliness under supervision. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow safety rules while performing routine cleaning tasks at a local facility.

The position pays $20.00 per hour plus $5.09 per hour for health and welfare, and is described as on-call. The ideal candidate should reside in or near Hemet and hold a valid driver’s license for local assignments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have 1 year of experience of progressively responsible housekeeping/sanitation or other work that applies knowledge and skills to perform the position.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to pass background checks & drug test.

Responsibilities

• The employee will follow all rules and regulations relative to entering and leaving the building.
• Must be physically able to perform all duties and tasks in the statement of work and shall be free of communicable diseases.
• Must be able to utilize cleaning products, chemicals, vacuums, mops, wringers, dust tools, and floor machines.
• Must be able to use equipment such as ladders
• Will report fires, hazardous conditions, and items in need of repair, such as dead lights, leaking faucets, toilet stoppage, etc.
• Basic cleaning tasks to include but are not limited to: Empty & Clean Wastebaskets; Clean, Disinfect & Polish Water Fountain; Replenish Supplies; Spot Cleaning; Vacuum all Carpets; Sweep & Mop all Hard Floors; Wipe Clean All Window Blinds and Sills; Interior Windows; Shampoo Carpets; High Dust & Clean; Follow established procedure methods for handling and mixing chemicals.
