Job summary

ASL is seeking an on-call Janitor to service the West Covina and Whittier locations. The role is part-time with a pay rate of $20.00/hour plus $5.09/hour for health and welfare benefits.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of janitorial or sanitation experience and a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities include adhering to safety rules, performing routine cleaning tasks, operating cleaning equipment, and reporting hazards or maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in housekeeping/sanitation or related work.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Follow all rules for entering and leaving the building.
• Perform cleaning tasks: empty wastebaskets, clean water fountain, replenish supplies, vacuum carpets, mop floors, wipe blinds and windows.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use chemicals safely.
• Report hazards and needed repairs.
