Ochsner Health in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to respond to assigned department needs and execute repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems within hospital settings. You will perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, work with hand and power tools, and be on-call for emergencies, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards.

This role requires a High School diploma and 2 years' experience; a valid driver’s license is required; trade

Qualifications

Required - High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred - Trade school or company school
2 years experience in Commercial, Industrial or Hospital Maintenance or completion of the Ochsner Apprenticeship program
Healthcare experience preferred
Valid driver's license in the state of residence

Responsibilities

Performs general inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing items within the hospital or clinic setting.
Responds to and repairs specialty systems (nurse call, fire alarm, television, medical gas, ceiling systems).
Completes preventive maintenance inspections and maintains documentation.
Assists with maintenance on associated equipment within assigned areas and supports other departments as needed.
On-call for emergencies and extended hours.
