Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• Must have 2 years of experience in Commercial, Industrial or Hospital Maintenance or completion of the Ochsner Apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Performs general inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing items within the hospital or clinic setting.
• Responds to and repairs specialty systems, such as nurse call system and fire alarm system.
• Completes preventive maintenance inspections and maintains documentation.
• Assists with maintenance on associated equipment within assigned area(s).
• Performs other related duties and is on-call for emergencies and extended hours as needed.
