Hospice Home Care in Little Rock, AR is seeking a dedicated On-Call Registered Nurse to join our team. This role provides end-of-life care during after-hours, offering relief, clarity and compassion to patients and families.

You will collaborate with the Remote Triage On-Call Team, assess urgent symptoms, administer or adjust hospice medications, document thoroughly, and support families through difficult moments. Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in state of operation.
• One year nursing experience required, 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care.
• Must be a licensed driver with insured vehicle in good working order.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with Remote Triage On Call Team to deliver hands-on care to hospice patients during after-hours.
• Assess and manage urgent symptoms quickly and compassionately.
• Administer medication or adjust care based on hospice protocols or provider orders.
• Communicate with the physician regarding changes in condition and obtain orders as necessary.
• Offer guidance and support to the patient and family in understanding the current condition and next steps.
• If a death occurs during on-call hours, pronounce death, provide support to the family, contact the funeral home, and notify the hospice team.
• Complete timely documentation and communication.
