Job summary

Hospice Home Care is seeking a dedicated On-Call Registered Nurse to join our team in Little Rock, AR. The role focuses on after-hours, in-home or facility-based patient care, following hospice protocols and collaborating with the remote triage team to ensure comfort and symptom relief for patients and families.

The ideal candidate will have an accredited nursing degree and current AR license, with at least 1 year of nursing experience and a preference for hospice exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in state of operation.
• One year nursing experience required, 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured and in good working order.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Remote Triage On Call Team to deliver hands-on care to hospice patients and offer supportive services to families after-hours.
• Assess and manage urgent symptoms quickly and compassionately.
• Administer medication or adjust care based on hospice protocols or provider orders.
• Communicate with the physician regarding changes in condition and obtain orders as necessary.
• Offer guidance and support to the patient and family in understanding the current condition and next steps.
