Job summary

Sparrow Health System in Mount Pleasant, MI seeks a SMS-Service Tech I to deliver durable medical equipment, train customers on proper use, and handle on-site installations when applicable. The role includes keeping detailed delivery logs, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating with families and caregivers.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED, a valid Michigan driver’s license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Michigan driver’s license required with a good driving record.
Experience in Home Medical Equipment preferred.
Ability to instruct customers on product use and safety.
Demonstrated clear verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

Deliver prescribed durable medical equipment to customers and load items for transport.
Install equipment when needed and instruct users on operation and safety.
Verify customer understands usage and document instructions left with the customer.
Maintain a daily log of deliveries by time and location.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and assist with equipment cleaning.
Serve as liaison between customers, families, and the company.
Assist in cleaning and restocking areas and manage oxygen-related tasks.
Enter patient information into TIMS system as required.
Adhere to Medicare guidelines and participate in on-call rotations.
