Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience with children or in an educational setting preferred.
• Ability to manage a classroom and maintain student behavior.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and school procedures with minimal supervision.
• Ability to adapt to different grade levels, subjects, and environments.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Complete required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the classroom teacher.
• Provide instruction and activities based on the teacher's plans and school expectations.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
• Supervise students and reinforce behavior expectations.
• Take attendance and maintain classroom records.
• Monitor engagement and assist as needed.
• Maintain classroom routines throughout the day.
• Communicate student concerns to staff.
• Follow school policies and emergency protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information.
• Assist with transitions, meals, and supervision duties.
• Leave the classroom organized for the returning teacher.
• Participate in required training and meetings.
• Maintain regular attendance for assignments.
