Job summary
Consolidated Utility District Of Rutherford County is seeking a field service technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs on Recirculating Sand Filter wastewater systems, septic tank effluent pump systems, and drip irrigation fields. You will respond to service calls, perform upgrades, and maintain equipment and vehicles in field settings.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, TN collection system certification (or ability to obtain within 18 months), and experience with
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- TN Grade 1 Collection System Certification or ability to obtain within 18 months.
- General knowledge of Rutherford County and experience with PVC pipe, pump systems, and light electrical.
- Competent Person Training Certification required.
Responsibilities
- Repair/replace defective pumps, float switches, hydro-tech valve discs, ultraviolet unit bulbs and ballast.
- Repair wastewater force main leaks/breaks and upgrades to sand filters.
- Repair/replace drip field valves, lines, boxes and hydro-tech valves.
- Repair/replace wastewater service lines and STEP tank components.
- Respond to service calls and emergencies, maintain equipment and vehicles.
