Job summary
Nexus Water Group is seeking a Field Tech II to maintain and repair water and wastewater systems, read meters, and support customer service activities. This on-site role requires daily travel between service areas near Longwood, FL, with Monday–Friday schedules and on-call rotation for emergencies.
The position emphasizes manual labor, equipment inspection, and operating knowledge of meters, piping, and basic electrical/mechanical systems.
Qualifications
- HS diploma or GED required and valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of one year water meter reading experience preferred; mechanical/maintenance experience is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of water/sewer lines and force mains.
- Maintain and test water meters, install new meters, and ensure meters read accurately.
- Document customer interactions and field activities in CC&B and other systems.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding meter readings, billing, and service disruptions.
- Travel daily between service areas near Longwood, FL; on-call and weekend rotation as required.
