Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Wireline Field Operator to support our Downhole Wireline Team in Victoria, TX. The role involves field service, equipment maintenance, and cable head operations to support well construction and production projects.

You will work on-site at well sites, maintain records, and ensure safety and customer satisfaction. Strong mechanical skills, CDL, and willingness to travel/perform extended shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CDL Class A or B with a clean driving record is required.
• Ability to pass a Federal background check is required.
• Must be 21+ to obtain ATF explosives certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work and communicate with customers and employees.
• On-call 24/7 with flexibility for extended site work is required.
• Ability to use computers for reporting and communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for jobs and perform tool maintenance, pre‑job and post‑job checks.
• Rig up and rig down equipment at the well site.
• Service mechanical devices and build logging cable heads.
• Perforate cable heads and maintain tools.
• Maintain well site/DOT records and communicate as required.
• Complete job paperwork for self and crew.
• Promote and maintain good customer relations.
• Perform routine work following detailed site instructions.
• Drive company vehicles safely per regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement for ballistics operations.
• Supervise and train other Field Operators with safety focus.
