Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Wireline Field Operator to perform duties at the well site and shop, maintain equipment, and train junior operators. The role emphasizes safety, tool maintenance, and accurate reporting while supporting customer relations in field operations.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, strong mechanical aptitude, and a valid CDL with Hazmat or be able to obtain one within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Must drive a manual transmission vehicle with CDL Hazmat or pass Company test and obtain CDL/Hazmat within 6 months.
• Ability to communicate well with customers and employees.
• Able to work on-call 24x7 and travel to well sites for extended periods.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a federal background check.
• Proficient with computers for reporting and communications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for jobs and perform tool maintenance, pre/post-job checkout.
• Rig up/down equipment at the well site and at the shop.
• Service mechanical devices and build logging cable heads.
• Perforate cable heads and maintain tools.
• Maintain well site/DOT records and client communications.
• Promote good customer relations and follow safety practices.
• Receive instructions and perform routine and site activities.
• Drive company vehicles safely and comply with regs.
• Participate in quality improvement for ballistics operations.
• Supervise and train other Field Operators.
