Job summary

Pearce is seeking a skilled Generator Technician to service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers regionally. The role requires independent, self-starting individuals willing to travel and work non-standard hours to ensure uptime.

Core duties include routine maintenance, diagnostics, installation of lines and controls, and prompt response to alarms. Strong safety awareness and the ability to be on-call are essential.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of generator maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Moderate computer skills and familiarity with maintenance software/hardware.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining generators, diagnosing and repairing problems, installing and replacing components or entire systems, and performing additional maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment.
• Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on generators to ensure readiness.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and test for proper operation.
• Responding promptly to Power/Generator alarms; be on call 24/7 if necessary.
• Adhere to safety practices and OSHA requirements during installation and maintenance.
