Job summary

Pearce is actively seeking a skilled Generator Technician to service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers regionally. The role favors self-motivated, travel-ready professionals who can operate independently in a fast-paced telecom environment.

You will diagnose faults, conduct maintenance, install components, and respond to alarms while adhering to safety regulations. The position requires lifting, long drives, and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of generator maintenance experience.
• Thorough knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair of generators; knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Basic knowledge of pertinent FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining generators, diagnosing and repairing problems, installing and replacing components or entire systems, and performing additional maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment.
• Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on generators to ensure proper readiness, reading and following blueprints or other design specifications to install or repair.
• Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and other components, and test for proper operation.
• Be responsible for responding promptly/timely to Power/Generator alarms; have the ability to be on call 24/7 if necessary and respond promptly in answering assigned phone and email.
• Perform work with the awareness of all potential hazards connected with the installation and maintenance of power supply equipment, switching gear, and other equipment.
