Job summary

JLL maintains and operates critical building systems in St. Joseph, MO, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliability. You will perform preventive maintenance and respond to service requests in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with the Facilities Manager.

The role requires flexibility, good customer service, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while supporting daily operations and special projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of technical experience in building engineering, maintenance, or facilities operations.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
• Valid state driver's license and ability to drive.
• Ability to work on-call, overtime, weekends, and emergency response as required.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and safely climb ladders up to 30 feet.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repair work on facility, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Maintain and repair building interiors/exteriors, grounds, gates, fire life safety systems, generators, and related equipment.
• Complete facility inspections and report deficiencies or operational concerns to the Chief Engineer.
• Respond to service requests, emergencies, after-hours calls, and storm-related support activities as needed.
• Utilize CMMS/work order systems to manage tasks, document completed work, and maintain KPI expectations.
• Conduct routine building rounds and maintain safe, clean, and compliant work areas
• Support operational projects and additional facility-related tasks assigned by site leadership.
