Job summary

TAIT seeks a Maintenance Technician to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and well-maintained. You will perform general maintenance and repairs across multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, and building tasks, while upholding safety standards and company policies.

You will read blueprints, handle various tools, and participate in preventive maintenance, cycles, and on-call duties. The role requires 3+ years of relevant experience and flexibility with shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
• Ability to use and be trained/certified in forklift and scissor lift.
• Knowledgeable and skilled in the usage of various hand and power tools.
• Capability to take apart machines, equipment or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
• Ability to troubleshoot using basic problem-solving techniques.
• Versed in general maintenance processes.
• Ability to be on call is required for this position.
• Flexibility with work schedule, including some holidays and alternate shifts are required; overtime may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Perform maintenance across disciplines: plumbing, mechanics, painting, drywall, landscaping, carpentry, pneumatics, pipe fitting, tile repair.
• Conduct routine inspections and manage costs.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Handle basic repairs in maintenance and exterior groundwork.
• Provide quotes for projects.
• Respond to work orders promptly and close out tickets.
• Diagnose issues and report fixes to supervision.
• Maintain and support recycling and trash programs.
• Adhere to safety policies and improve productivity.
• Keep workspace clean, organized, and safe.
• Attend meetings and trainings as required.
