Job summary

SAFE Credit Union Convention and Performing Arts District seeks an on-call Events staff leader to support guest experience and ensure a safe, smooth event environment. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating with clients and vendors, and enforcing safety regulations across event spaces.

Ideal candidates have experience in large venue operations, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing events in large recreational, entertainment, or similar public-use facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide direction to staff during assigned events; review quality of work and follow instructions from Events Manager or Coordinator.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance to ensure all services are provided for events.
• Work with clients, caterers, and staff to meet event needs and address changes during events.
• Enforce health, safety, and facility regulations.
• Prepare reports and debrief notes for incoming shifts.
• Respond to emergencies, complaints, and inquiries from facility users.
• Assist with event functions such as ushering, ticket taking, crowd direction, door guarding, fire watch, and traffic management.
• Perform related duties as needed.
