Job summary

The Argonaut Hotel in Fisherman’s Wharf seeks a friendly and dependable Dishwasher to keep china, glassware and utensils spotless for a fast-paced kitchen. You’ll support cooks and servers, maintain clean, dry work areas, and help ensure a smooth dining service aboard our iconic property.

No prior dishwashing experience required; we value adaptability and a positive attitude. A flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, is ideal for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience with dishwashing in a fast-paced setting is preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen.
• Flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and utensils.

Guests wake to views of the San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz, and the Golden Gate Bridge before venturing mere steps to next door Ghirardelli Square & Hyde Street Pier.

A DAY IN THE LIFE...

The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring guests receive clean and spotless china, silverware and glassware. Provide Cooks, Bussers, Bartenders and Servers with support and assistance. Keep all areas clean, dry and safe for other team members. The Dishwasher ensures that the kitchen stays clean and organized while having fun at work.

• Operate all kitchen equipment
• Wash dishes, glassware, etc., by hand when necessary
• Restock all supplies
• Keep area in kitchen clean and free of debris and water
• Stock any deliveries received in a timely and safe manner
• Remove all trash and debris from restaurant routinely
• Assist other restaurant personnel with tasks when necessary

YOU OWN THIS IF YOU HAVE...

• Previous experience in dishwashing but it’s not required! We can teach you the skills you bring personality!
• Works well in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
• Able to accommodate a flexible schedule that may include weekends and/or holidays
• Outside--of-the-box thinker who takes the initiative to creatively solve problems.
