Job summary

ICL in Bronx, NY is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide direct care in a residential setting for adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities. You will help with daily living, develop skills, and support independent living under supervision.

The role is a floater/on-call position with a minimum of 24 hours per week, requiring morning/evening and weekend availability. Certifications (AMAP, SCIP-R, CPR/First Aid) and a NY driver's license are required or obtainable within

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Direct Support Professional (DSP) Certificate from an accredited organization.
Experience providing direct care to adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities preferred.
AMAP, SCIP‑R, CPR and First Aid certifications current or obtainable within six months.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and health support including hygiene, grooming, toileting and medication administration per AMAP.
Support nutrition and mealtime activities and encourage social dining skills.
Maintain a safe, clean residential environment with basic housekeeping and safety.
Promote independence and community integration through skill-building and transportation.
Document progress, participate in team meetings, and respond to emergencies.
