Job summary

ICL seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a floater/on-call role in a residential setting. The DSP will provide direct care to adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities, ensuring daily living support and skills development.

Position requires a NY driver’s license, AMAP, CPR/First Aid, and flexibility for morning or evening shifts (7am-3:30pm or 3pm-11:30pm). Minimum 16 hours weekly; onsite location in Brooklyn, NY 11236, USA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) Certificate from an accredited organization.
• Experience providing direct care to adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities preferred.
• Valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record REQUIRED.
• AMAP Certification - REQUIRED.
• CPR and First Aid Certification - current or able to obtain within six months of hire.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and health support including hygiene, grooming, toileting, medication administration per AMAP.
• Support nutrition and mealtime activities, including meal preparation and safe handling.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized residential environment.
• Promote development, independence, and community integration through skills and supports.
• Observe, document, and report progress; participate in planning and meetings.
• Apply behavior management techniques and respond to emergencies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
