Job summary

ICL is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a Floater/On-Call role in New York. This position provides a minimum of 24 hours per week with non-fixed scheduling, including morning and overnight shifts and weekend availability.

Under supervision, DSPs deliver direct care in residential settings, assist with daily living activities, document progress, and support development of vocational and social skills while ensuring safety and compliance with AMAP, CPR/First Aid, and driver

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) Certification from an accredited organization.
• Experience preferred in providing direct care to adults with developmental/physical disabilities.
• NY Driver’s License with clean record required; AMAP certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification current or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and health support including hygiene, grooming, toileting, and medication administration (per AMAP).
• Support nutrition and mealtime activities, meal preparation, food safety, and social dining.
• Maintain a safe, clean residential environment including housekeeping and safety protocols.
• Promote independence and community integration through skill-building and transportation support.
• Observe, document, and report progress; participate in planning, meetings and trainings.
