Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Medford, part of Lithia & Driveway, is seeking an On-call Dealer Trade Driver to manage vehicle trades and ensure accurate paperwork on the lot.

You will tow trailers, verify VINs and stock numbers, and ensure all traded vehicles have proper paperwork, keys, and accessories before delivery. This role demands attention to detail and reliable communication.

Qualifications

• Prior experience towing a long and/or short bed trailer.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Sense of urgency.
• Excellent communication.
• Typing – ability to type efficiently to enter accurate information into tracking system.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Verify VINs and stock numbers match paperwork for each vehicle.
• Ensure copies of dealer invoices accompany paperwork for each vehicle.
• Confirm traded vehicle is clean and undamaged before leaving the lot.
• Notify GSM or Manager on duty if damage is found.
• Ensure keys, wheel locks, and accessories accompany traded vehicles and report to the manager on completion.
• Thoroughly inspect newly traded vehicles before taking delivery from the dealership.
• Note any missing items (keys, books, wheel locks, mats) and ensure items accompany the vehicle.

Hiring: On-call Dealer Trade Driver

• Pay: $16.00 per hour
• Schedule: This is an on-call, as needed position with no guaranteed hours.
• Additional Requirements: Must be able to tow trailer with company provided truck and trailer.

What You’ll Do

• Ensures that vehicle identification numbers and stock number of each vehicle match paperwork.
• Ensure copies of dealer invoice accompany paperwork for each vehicle.
• Ensure that the vehicle being traded is clean and undamaged before leaving the lot.
• Notify GSM or Manager on duty immediately if any damage is found on vehicle being traded.
• Ensure all reference guides, keys, wheel locks etc., accompany all traded vehicles and deliver this information to the appropriate manager when trade is complete
• Newly traded vehicles must be thoroughly inspected, inside and out, before accepting delivery from dealership.
• If damage is found (i.e. scratches, door dings etc.), contact GSM or Manager on duty before leaving their lot. DO NOT return with a damaged vehicle unless you have notified the GSM or Desk Manager.
• Note any missing keys, books, wheel locks, floor mats, etc. Make every effort to ensure these items accompany the appropriate vehicle. Always make sure accessories that are listed are in fact on the vehicle.
