Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Medford is seeking an experienced automotive service technician to join our team. You will perform repairs per repair orders, diagnose malfunctions, and road-test vehicles to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Experience as automotive technician required, preferably with Mercedes or luxury-brand vehicles.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Experience driving a wide range of cars, trucks, and vans, including manual transmissions.
• Committed to dealership growth and Mercedes-Benz brand standards.
• Strong safety and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license in your state.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy per standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Complete all work per safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair.
• Record time spent on repairs using company time clocking procedures.
• Document work performed on repair orders and test results.
• Maintain inventory of common tools and keep workspace organized.
• Use shop supplies economically.
• Ensure vehicles are cleaned before customer pickup.
• Complete required training and pursue certifications.

What You'll Do

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Accurately record time spent on repairs utilizing company time clocking procedures.
• Document work performed on repair order and document test procedures/results.
• Responsible for providing and maintaining an inventory of normal mechanics tools to include screwdrivers, wrenches, socket wrenches, pliers, hammers, chisels and punches, and other tools needed to perform the work for which the technician is trained and not normally inventoried by the service department as "special tools".
• Use shop supplies and materials in a practical and economical manner.
• Ensure that customer's vehicles are returned to them as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
• Complete all required training.
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing the necessary and required training.

• Prior automotive technician experienced required, Mercedes or luxury brand
• Reliable, shows up ready to work
• Operate a wide variety of cars, trucks and vans with the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Willing to grow and learn our dealership and the Mercedes brand.
• Attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
