Job summary

Native American Health Center (NAHC) seeks a Custodian/Security Guard I at the SF Clinic to maintain a safe, clean environment for patients, staff and visitors. You will sanitize and disinfect, respond to alarms, escort and assist with events, and support security operations as needed.

This on-call, non-exempt role may require evenings, weekends, and occasional after-hours coverage. Prior custodial or security experience is preferred; a High School diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as a custodian or in a similar role, preferably in healthcare.
• Knowledge of sanitation, infection control and cleaning chemicals.
• Guard Card or ability to obtain one within 6 months.
• CPR certification required within 90 days.
• TB and physical clearance prior to start date.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to use basic cleaning equipment and groundskeeping tools.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize, disinfect and clean offices, clinical spaces and restrooms daily.
• Safely handle waste, dispose of regular and infectious waste following regulations.
• Assist in monitoring janitorial supplies and act as delivery contact for supplies.
• Respond to alarms and assist in emergency preparedness and evacuations.
• Provide safety and customer service support to staff and visitors.
