Job summary

San Francisco District Attorney's Office is seeking a Custodian (2708) for the Real Estate Division. The role involves routine cleaning of public buildings and related facilities under supervision.

You will perform floors and surface cleaning, restrooms maintenance, minor repairs assistance, and ensure security by locking doors after shifts. Training in custodial work is required with a six-month experience minimum.

Qualifications

• Verification of custodial training course enrollment or completion at time of application.
• Six months (1040 hours) of verifiable full-time custodial or janitorial experience.
• Desirable: experience operating industrial cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, scrub, mop floors and wax as needed.
• Clean, dust, polish furniture and surfaces; empty waste receptacles.
• Clean stairways, restrooms; replenish supplies.
• Assist in moving and arranging furniture/equipment.
• Turn out lights and lock doors/windows.
• Operate cleaning equipment; monitor basic building systems.
• Clean recreational areas and report vandalism or damages.
• Wash interior glass and windows accessible from ground.
• Supervise students during recess and assist with minor repairs.
