Job summary

Heartland Family Service seeks an Enhanced Advocate (on-call) to support survivors of sexual and domestic assault. The role provides crisis intervention, safety planning, and referrals, with on-call shifts in the evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

The position requires on-site presence within 30 minutes of calls, collaboration with program staff, and completion of initial training within two weeks. This is a part-time, on-call opportunity at our Papillion location.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System, Social Work, and Domestic Violence is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and respond to crises.

Responsibilities

• Respond to hospitals or law enforcement to provide crisis intervention and survivor support.
• Maintain availability while on call and be on site within 30 minutes of a call.
• Provide referrals and follow-up on cases as needed.
• Complete initial 8 hours of training within two weeks of hire.
• Attend quarterly meetings and cover major holidays.
